Accommodations

Accommodation procedures vary by test. The following information should be used as a general guide for requesting test accommodations.

Many exams have basic accommodation features built-in. If you need larger text, Ctrl+mouse wheel often makes text larger or smaller. If you need high contrast text, look for a drop down with contrast options. Some tests have the ability to dim answer options to reduce distractions. Accommodations for extended time, private testing, etc. require documentation and approvals from the test company.

Major Field Test (MFT) / Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA+) / Area Concentration Achievement Test (ACAT) / Missouri Higher Education Civics Achievement Exam (Civics)

Please drop off your accommodations letter from the Student Access and Disability Services Office at your earliest convenience. Proctors will not be able to add accommodations at the time of your test, so we must receive your documentation early. Our office is open 8am-5pm, M-F, and we are located in Violette Hall room 1130. Once we receive your accommodations letter, we will work with students to meet those requirements.

ETS exams – GRE / Praxis / TOEFL

Please see ETS guidelines here: https://www.ets.org/disabilities/test-takers/request-accommodations.html. ETS has their own approval process for accommodations, and they will need your accommodations documentation. Test Center staff cannot help with unapproved ETS accommodations – you must step through their process during registration.

Pearson VUE

Much like ETS, Pearson has their own process for approving accommodations: https://home.pearsonvue.com/Test-takers/Accommodations.aspx. Test Center staff cannot help with unapproved Pearson accommodations – you must step through their process during registration.

PSI/Atlas – CHES

PSI also has their own approval process. See the CHES exam handbook for more information. The direct link to start an accommodations request is here: https://psi-cdexp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000991112. Test Center staff cannot help with unapproved PSI accommodations – you must step through their process during registration.
