This page is a guide for taking the Paraprofessional exams at Truman’s testing center. Missouri is transitioning to Parapathways starting July 1, 2026. You may want to discuss which test you need with your administration or advisor if you are unsure which to choose.
Start by calling us at 660-785-4140 to make an appointment. These exams will be administered by office staff during the day, so be aware that the last appointment time we can accommodate is 2:30pm for standard time tests. If you need extended time accommodations, please inform us so we can bill and schedule accordingly.
Payment for all local Para testing is handled through Truman’s payment portal. Click ETS Paraprofessional from the list of programs. On the first screen, select add to cart. You can select items to purchase on the next page. You will need to add at least the proctoring fee and the test(s) you plan to take. Proceed to checkout. You will need to provide an email for your receipt to checkout as a guest.
On test day, you will need one form of current, government-issued ID with a picture and signature. A valid driver’s license or passport are most common. The name on your ID must match the registration information you enter before starting the test. We will provide scratch paper, pencils, and a computer. If you have any questions, please let us know.
