Miller Analogies Test
What it is:
The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a graduate school admission test made up entirely of analogies, involving analytical reasoning as well as content knowledge. The MAT covers most of the general subject areas you’ve studied as an undergraduate (humanities, science, English), as well as subjects from everyday life. Over 1,500 college and university graduate programs accept the MAT as part of their graduate admission requirements.
How to register:
Contact the assessment and testing office at (660) 785-4126 to set up an appointment to take the MAT. Exams may be scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm as the exams must be completed by 4:30 pm. As such, if you are allowed 2 hours to test, your exam cannot be schedule any later than 2:30 pm.
1. First contact the Assessment & Testing Office to select a test date and time that works for you and the testing center.
2. Pay the proctoring fee prior to arriving at the testing center. Navigate to https://secure.truman.edu/testing-s/ to make your payment by credit card or electronic check or click on Proctoring Fees and select Other Proctoring Services and select the amount of time that is allowed for your test to determine the amount owed. Complete the requested contact and payment information.
